Freddy’s Diner Supports Local Farmers As A New Drop Off Location For Locally Grown Foods
Karen Kapfer, owner of Freddy’s Diner said, “I am so happy to be part of such a wonderful program that our community will truly benefit from. We are happy to support our area farmers and to provide a location so that our entire community can benefit from fresh locally grown food. Tough times have come upon us all, shopping locally has never been more important.”
August 20th 2020:
Wonder what to do with the contents of your fruit and veggie bags? The nutrition team at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County is teaming up with the Food Hub to provide live cooking demonstrations with produce from the weekly bag. JULY 23rd 2020:
Help a farmer. Help a family. We now have an option to purchase a fruits and veggies bag for donation to the Lewis County Food Pantry. Options for other food pantries will be available in the following weeks.
